Pick Out one of these configurations of heating boiler

Gas Central Heating systems come in different configurations. Most of them consist of a set of heating central heating radiators, a gas boiler and copper pipework.

Air conditioning is not a priority for residents of Europe and northern countries as these regions experience cold weather most of the year with short duration summertimes. Many of us find proper heating a necessity; as a result most of the new houses being constructed today are built with a Central Heating System.

With the onset of winter, heating becomes crucial to warming your home. Heating your home provides a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. So you want to be sure that your Gas Central Heating System is dependable. You Central Heating System must give you the feeling of assurance that it is safe, simple to use with a long life.

Sealed and vented or pumped systems are the two leading types of Gas Central Heating Systems available.

The most commonly used systems are pumped/vented Gas Central Heating systems. Heating systems using the pump or vent process are equipped with a tank to allow for feeding of replacement water and expansion of heated water. The hot water storage tank provides your home with warm water and brings heat to the central heating radiators. The tank makes way for any water expansion that is caused by the heating process. The tank is positioned at the point of maximum height, usually in the attic area to create water pressure. The hot water tank has two main functions; to heat the house and and provide hot water for washing.

Most houses, especially the old ones will have a vented/pumped heating system.

A sealed system is now being used in the new houses that are being built. As the name suggests, sealed system is a closed system; no tank is required in this system. There are no tanks or pipework in the attic, the whole system is sealed, its unvented, which has its benefits:.

- As there are no pipes, they cannot freeze up in the attic.

- There is no need to maintain the tanks and pipes as there are not present.

- This diminishes the chances of a possible leakage.

- The air cannot enter the system as its sealed and hence there are lesser risks of sludge, corrosion and airlocks developing.

- The main water pressure can easily be used to flush out a Sealed system for easy upkeep.

This central heating system is self contained incorporating all the safety devices and other important controls. No tank feeds a sealed system, the supply comes directly from the mains. It is plumbed straight into the main water supply.

The system also has a pressure vessel which contains compressed gas, it controls the variations in pressure and a diaphragm is used to separate it from the sealed system. If the pressure is very high in the system, then the water will escape from the safety valve, and if the pressure is too low, then the safety valve will open to let the water in.

Overall Central Heating Systems offer more value for money as compared to alternative heating systems as they can be very efficient. They also offer you all round control which is more than most heating systems do.
